Why Renew Your Remento Subscription?

Everything you need to know to keep your Remento subscription active and why it's worth it.

Your family's story is never truly finished. Renewing your Remento subscription means you can keep capturing, editing, and preserving the moments that matter without missing a chapter.

Here's what renewing makes possible:

  • More time to record. Life gets in the way. Whether your storyteller got a late start, took a break, or simply has more to say, renewing gives them the runway to keep going at their own pace, in their own voice.

  • More time to perfect the written stories. Recording is just the beginning. Renewing keeps editing unlocked so you can refine each story, adjust the tone and perspective, and make sure every word feels exactly right before it goes to print.

  • Add and edit photos. Photos make stories come alive. With an active subscription, you can add, swap, or update photos in your current book, making it richer and more personal. Or you can simply build out the digital version for the whole family to enjoy.

  • Start a whole new book. Want to go deeper on a specific chapter of life - a career, a decade, a place? Renewing gives you unlimited new projects, so a single storyteller can have multiple books, each focused on a different part of their story.

We want to make it easy to keep going. Here are two ways to renew for less:

  • Seasonal promotions — We occasionally run renewal discounts. Check your email to see if you're eligible.

  • Share your story, renew for free — Post about your Remento experience on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Threads, or LinkedIn, then send our team a screenshot and a link. We'll take care of the rest.

    To qualify for the social media renewal, your post must be public and tag our official account so we can verify it:

    • Instagram or TikTok: @getremento

    • Facebook: @Remento


Renewal Pricing

Your subscription can renew annually (the best value) or monthly if you prefer flexibility. Pricing is shown below:


How to Renew

You don't need to do anything — your subscription renews automatically. The original purchaser's payment method is charged one year after the gift delivery date (or one year after purchase, if Remento wasn't a gift).

Want to switch to monthly billing?

  1. Go to My Account

  2. Select Manage Subscription

  3. Choose the Monthly plan and confirm

Where to find your renewal date:

  • If you purchased Remento: check My Account

  • If someone else purchased it for you: check Project Settings


How to Update Your Payment Method

Only the original purchaser (Host) can update the payment method. If someone else would like to cover the renewal, coordinate with the Host to update the card before the charge date.

  1. Go to My Account

  2. Under Subscription details, tap Reactivate subscription

  3. Choose annual or monthly, then submit


How to Cancel Auto-Renewal

You can cancel at any time — no penalties.

  1. Go to My Account

  2. Select Manage Subscription

  3. Select Cancel auto-renewal and follow the steps

You'll retain full access to all features until the end of your paid period.


Changed Your Mind? Reactivate Anytime

Your family's book is never truly closed. If you've cancelled, you can always come back — all your content will be right where you left it.

  1. Go to My Account

  2. Select Manage Subscription

  3. Select Resume Subscription and follow the steps

Your new subscription starts the day you reactivate, restoring full access immediately.


Frequently Asked Questions

If I cancel, when do I lose access to features? You retain full access to all features until your paid subscription period ends, even if you cancel before that date.

Will the QR codes in my printed book still work if I cancel? Yes — you can always scan the QR codes in your Remento book to access your original recordings.

Can I still order more books after canceling? Yes, you can order copies of your book at any time.

Can I resubscribe after canceling? Yes, anytime. Your new subscription starts the day you renew and restores full access to all features.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling? We don't currently offer a pause option, but you can cancel and resubscribe whenever you're ready.

Will I lose my stories if I don't renew? No — all your existing stories and projects remain safely stored and viewable, even without an active subscription.

Can the billing owner be changed? Not at this time. Billing is tied to the original purchaser (Host) account. If you're not the Host, we recommend coordinating with them to update the payment method using the instructions above.
