As part of your Smart Cremation package, you have complimentary access to Remento. We're a storytelling service designed to help you preserve cherished memories and stories of your loved one.
We make it easy to:
Record and preserve memories through simple voice recordings
Organize stories with thoughtful prompts

Create a lasting digital collection of memories
Your access is included with your Smart Cremation package at no additional cost for the initial period.
Getting Started
Your Smart Cremation package includes access to Remento's story-preserving service. Follow these simple steps to activate your account and begin recording memories.
Activate Your Account
You can activate your Remento account in two ways:
Use the Email Instructions
Check your email inbox for an activation email from Remento
Click the activation link provided
Follow the prompts to get started
Scan the QR Code
Locate the QR code on your Remento flyer included with your Smart Cremation package
Use your smartphone camera to scan the code
Follow the link to begin activation
Create Your Profile
From either of the above two paths, you'll be asked to sign in using your email. After doing so, you'll set up your account with the following details:
Your name (prefilled for you to confirm or update)
Phone number (optional, but recommended for account recovery)
After entering this information, click continue, and then click on Activate your account to make your account active. If you want help with activation, you can reach out to our customer support team at this step.
Complete Your Onboarding
After activating your account, you'll be onboarding onto Remento with three important steps. You can skip this and add these details later as well, if need be:
1. Choose or Add Prompts
Remento offers a curated collection of prompts designed to help you share meaningful stories. You can:
Browse the available prompt categories
Select the prompts that resonate with you
Add your own custom prompts for personalized storytelling
2. Choose Your Writing Style
Select how you'd like your stories to be written:
Choose the tone and style that best represent your voice
This helps Remento transcribe and format your recordings in a way that feels authentic to you
3. Invite Collaborators
Invite family members or friends to contribute their own stories
Collaborate on capturing memories together
Share access with loved ones who want to participate
Once you've completed these steps, you'll be redirected to your Remento account dashboard, where you can start recording right away.
Begin Recording
After onboarding, you're ready to preserve your memories! Simply:
Select a prompt from your collection
Press record and share your story
Save and organize your recordings in your account
For Shared Email Addresses
If Two Family Members Share the Same Email
If you're using a single email address for two activations, you'll need to take an extra step during the activation process.
How it works:
You'll receive individually addressed activation emails for each person
Sign in using your shared email address
You'll be asked to confirm whose account you're activating
After doing so, you'll go through the same activation and onboarding process as stated above.
Repeat the process for each user
Once both users are set up, you will be able to choose the project relevant to the user from the drop-down menu in the top left
Selecting the user upfront ensures each person gets their own dedicated space and each person's stories and recordings remain separate and organized.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive my Remento activation materials?
You should receive your activation email within 24-48 hours after completing your Smart Cremation arrangements. The printed flyer with the QR code will be included in your physical Smart Cremation package materials.
Does the activation link expire?
Your activation link does not expire, so you can activate your account whenever you're ready. We understand that this may not be the right time, and there's no rush. When you feel ready to begin preserving memories, your activation link will be waiting for you. You can also use the QR code on your printed flyer to activate it at any time.
