How to create a StoryFrame
You can create a StoryFrame directly from any story in your Remento project that has a photo.
Open the story you’d like to turn into a StoryFrame.
Select Create Keepsake.
Choose the photo you’d like to feature.
Review and customize your StoryFrame.
Choose your frame size, color, mat band, and orientation.
Complete your purchase.
Choosing a Photo
Your story needs to have a photo before you can create a StoryFrame.
One photo: Your photo will automatically be selected.
Multiple photos: Your primary photo will be selected by default, but you can choose another photo during the setup process.
No photos: You’ll be prompted to add a photo before continuing. Select Add photo to open the photo uploader.
If your selected photo is of lower resolution for printing, you’ll be notified during the setup process that the print will be blurry, but you will still be able to continue with that photo.
Customize Your Frame
Your Story Frame is a premium-quality frame made with solid wood and a UV-protective cover that’s lighter and safer than glass. You can personalize your StoryFrame with options for:
Frame size
Frame color
Mat board — adds a white border for a classic, gallery-style look. Additional fee applies. A mat does not change your photo size; it makes the overall frame slightly larger.
QR code placement — choose where you’d like the QR code to appear.

Story Frame orders have a $15 shipping fee and ship within 5 - 8 days. We will send you an email letting you know when your order is shipped.
Note: Packages going to certain places (including Alaska, Hawaii, and offshore destinations) may receive slower service
At this time, Remento does not ship StoryFrames internationally directly. If you are placing an order from outside the U.S., you’ll need to provide a U.S. shipping address for your StoryFrame order.
How to Use Your Remento StoryFrame
Once you receive your Remento StoryFrame, sharing the story behind your photo is simple.
Your StoryFrame includes a unique QR code connected to the story you created in Remento. Anyone can scan the QR code using their smartphone camera to reveal the story behind the photo.
To view the story:
Open the camera app on your smartphone.
Point your camera at the QR code on the StoryFrame.
Tap the notification or link that appears.
Enjoy the story, memories, and moments connected to the photo.
No special app is required to scan the QR code. Anyone with a smartphone can access the story and experience the memory behind the photo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a Story Frame without a Remento account?
No. You’ll need a Remento account to order a Story Frame. At this time, Story Frames are created from an existing story in your Remento account, so you must have a story available before placing an order.
Can I create a Story Frame from any story?
The Create Keepsake option is available on all stories. However, the story must have at least one photo, and the photo must meet Remento’s resolution requirements for printing.
Is the Story Frame digital?
No. The Story Frame is a physical, printed frame featuring your photo and a QR code. When scanned, the QR code connects to the single story associated with that frame, allowing you and others to listen to the story behind the photo.
Which photo will appear on my StoryFrame?
If your story has one photo, it will be selected automatically. If it has multiple photos, the primary photo will be selected by default, but you can choose a different photo during the first step of the customization process.
Is the UV cover important?
Yes — UV light is the primary cause of photo fading. The Premium frame's acrylic cover blocks 98% of UV light, helping keep your photo vivid for decades.
What if my story doesn’t have a photo?
You’ll need to add a photo before creating your StoryFrame. Select Add photo when prompted to open the photo uploader.
What if my photo has low resolution?
Remento will notify you during the StoryFrame setup if your selected photo doesn’t have enough resolution for a quality print. You can still continue to finish your order with that photo.
Can I include multiple recordings in my StoryFrame?
Yes. If your story contains multiple recordings, all recordings associated with that story will be connected to the StoryFrame.
Can someone scan my StoryFrame if they don’t have a Remento account?
Yes. Scanning the QR code opens the anonymous story page, where the person can view and listen to the story. Other actions on that story require login or access to the project.
Can anyone scan the QR code?
Yes. The QR code is designed to be shared with family and friends. Anyone with a smartphone camera can scan it to experience the story behind the photo.
Do you ship StoryFrames internationally?
Not at this time. Remento does not currently ship StoryFrames internationally.
If you’re ordering from outside the U.S., you’ll need to provide a U.S. shipping address for your Story Frame order. Once your order is delivered to the U.S. address, you can arrange for it to be forwarded to you internationally.
