Your Remento Baby Book helps you capture your baby's special moments, milestones, and everyday memories through Firsts.
Firsts are prompts designed to help you record meaningful moments in your baby's journey, such as their first smile, first steps, first words, and other memories you want to remember.
In case your baby has not arrived yet, we have Firsts to capture the journey leading up to their arrival.
Each first also has a question that helps you reflect on that moment and share a story.
How to Record a Story
Your Remento Baby Book gives you two ways to capture memories: recording a story from a First or recording a freeform story whenever inspiration strikes.
Option 1: Record a First
Open your Stories page.
Browse the available Firsts.
Select the First you'd like to capture.
Tap Record Now to share your memory.
You can tap the +Add a photo button to add any image or continue recording without one
Option 2: Record a Freeform Story
You can just record whatever is on your mind.
To record something spontaneously:
Open your Stories page.
Select Record a story.
You can tap the +Add a photo button to add any image or continue recording without one
Share whatever memory is on your mind.
This option is great for capturing everyday moments that may not fit into an existing First or you just want to capture something that just happened.
Once you’re in the Recording experience, you can choose your recording mode, either Audio or Video, and allow access to your camera and microphone when prompted. You can then test your microphone and camera to make sure everything is working properly before tapping Continue.
When you’re ready, tap Start Recording to begin. Once you’re finished, you can review your story and choose to either re-record or continue saving your story.
Select the memory date, then tap Submit to save your story. We will automatically pull the memory date from the photo, in case you uploaded one. You can update this date later any time once the story is recorded.
Note: The memory date is the date when the moment actually happened, not the date you recorded it.
For example:
If your baby's first smile happened on March 1, but you record the story on March 10, you would use March 1 as the memory date.
How Can I View my Recorded First?
View It Right After Recording
If you’ve just finished recording a First:
Finish your recording.
Select the Back to Stories button.
You’ll return to the Stories tab.
Select the First you’d like to view.
View a Previously Recorded First
If you’ve already left the recording experience:
Log in to your Remento account.
Go to the Stories tab.
Browse your Firsts.
Select the recorded First you’d like to view.
Once a First has been recorded, the memory date along with your baby's age determines where it appears in your Baby Book timeline. So you might have started with a First placed in the 0 - 3 months category but if that memory happened in your baby's 4th month, then we will place that recorded story in the 4 - 6 months category on the Stories page.
