Remento Ornament: Recording a Story

Scanning the QR code on your ornament takes you to the Stories page, where you can record new stories and manage the stories you’ve already recorded for your Ornament Project.

How to Add a Story to an Ornament

You can start adding a story to your ornament in either of these two ways:

  • Scan the QR code on the ornament using your phone’s camera, or

  • Log in to your Remento account.

  1. Tap Record your Story.

  2. Tap Continue.

  3. Choose your recording mode: Audio or Video.

  4. Allow access to your camera and microphone when prompted.

  5. Test your microphone and camera to make sure everything is working properly, then tap Continue.

  6. When you’re finished, review your story. You can choose to Re-record or Submit your story.

  7. If you’re already logged in to your Remento account, you can simply Submit your story. If you don’t have an account yet, you’ll be asked to either Log In or Create an Account before submitting your story.

*Note: Creating an account allows us to save your story securely and associate it with the correct ornament project. It also ensures you can access your contribution later.

How to Manage Recorded Stories

Editing Recorded Story

To edit written stories, follow these steps:

  1. Select the story you wish to edit

  2. Click the Edit✨ button located at the bottom right corner.

  3. From here you can change the story perspective and story length

  4. You can also tap Edit story manually to change the title or type in your story

  5. Tap into the title or body text to directly edit the content in-line as needed.

  6. Tap the Save button

  7. Ensure your changes display correctly before exiting the editor.

Deleting Recorded Story

To edit written stories, follow these steps:

  1. Find and open the story you want to delete

  2. Select the More button

  3. Select Delete Story and then confirm you'd like to delete

Who Can Edit or Delete Stories?

Your access depends on your role in the project:

  • Purchaser: Can view, record, edit, or delete any story.

  • Contributor: Can view all stories and edit only their own story.

This lets everyone contribute while keeping control of the project with the purchaser.
