Baby Book: Managing your Firsts

Your baby's Firsts are prompts designed to help you record meaningful moments in your baby's journey, such as their first smile, first steps, first words, and other memories you want to remember.

In case your baby has not arrived yet, we have Firsts to capture the journey leading up to their arrival.

Each first also has a question that helps you reflect on that moment and share a story. Your Baby Book includes suggested Firsts organized by different stages of your baby's journey.

You can:

  • Browse available Firsts

  • Add new Firsts

  • Edit unrecorded Firsts

  • Delete Firsts you don't want to complete

  • Move unrecorded Firsts to another category

Your Baby Book is designed to be flexible, so you can focus on the memories that matter most to your family.

Adding a New First

Browse Firsts

  1. Open your Stories page

  2. Tap Browse Firsts

  3. Explore different categories based on your baby’s stage and milestones.

  4. Browse the available Firsts within each category.

  5. Select the Firsts you’d like to include.

  6. Tap Add to add them to your project.

Write your own

  1. Open your Stories page

  2. You can add your own First:

    • Tap the + button in any category, or

    • Select Browse Firsts and choose Write your own.

  3. Enter the memory you’d like to capture

  4. Choose the appropriate category.

  5. Tap Add to save your new First.

Your custom First will appear alongside the suggested memories in your Baby Book.

Editing an Unrecorded First

You can update a First before recording it.

  1. Open the First.

  2. Tap the three-dot option

  3. Select the Edit option

  4. Tap Save once done

You can edit:

  • The First

  • The Question

  • The Category

Deleting a First

If there is a First you don't want to capture:

  1. Open the First.

  2. Tap the three-dot option

  3. Select the Delete option

  4. Confirm your choice.

Deleting an unrecorded First removes it from the list of Firsts on your Stories page.

Continuing to record more stories after submitting one

After recording a story, if you'd like to record another one, you can do so easily. We'll give you a selection of Firsts that map to the age of your baby. You can pick one of those and record a story or you pick your own First from any category as well as write your own.
