Can I pause in the middle of recording?

Yes, when you record a story with Remento, you can easily pause the recording and resume when you are ready to begin again. When you are in the recording experience, after you select the PLAY button, it will turn into a PAUSE button:

Will I lose my recording if I close my browser?

There are many scenarios where a recording might be interrupted and it can be frustrating to lose your progress! That's why we have done our best to save in-progress recordings that get unexpectedly interrupted. If one of these things happens to you, there is a good chance we have saved your recording:

  • Your phone dies

  • Your internet or cellular connection cuts out

  • You navigate away from Remento to answer a phone call or respond to a notification

  • You need to step away and forget to pause the recording

  • Your phone or computer falls asleep

  • Your dog eats your phone (so sorry about that!)

We do have some limitations to how we can handle these scenarios. The good news is, when you go back to Remento, you will see this notification:

From here, you can choose to start over, resume recording, or submit the previous recording. Unfortunately, in the above scenarios, we are not able to show you the previous recording, even though it is safe and sound uploaded into Remento. Once you submit the recording, you will be able to view all of your recordings in your Stories section.
