You can change the default writing style that turns your recordings into a written story. Either use our AI Writing Tool to help craft a written story, or choose the “cleaned transcript” mode to maintain the exact words and structure of the spoken version.
Can I change the perspective of the written story?
Yes, using Remento's AI writing tool, you can make updates to your written story. You can select to see the story written in:
The first person (e.g., "I went to the store")
The third person (e.g., "Lisa went to the store")
Or as a cleaned transcript (i.e., their exact words)
Making these changes and editing the text in your story happens directly on the story page (see below), and you can do this from any device.
When viewing a story, select the Make Changes button, select AI Writing Tool, and try out the different settings.
When making updates, Remento first generates a preview of your story. This allows you to read and review all updates before saving any changes. If you're happy with the changes, select Update Story to save.
💡 Note: Once you update your story, it will overwrite any existing edits to the written story.
Can I change the length of a written story?
Yes, using Remento's AI Writing Tool, you can update the length of a written story. When viewing a story, select the Make Changes button, select AI Writing Tool, and then use the slider to adjust the length. Remento will generate a new preview of your story. Select Update Story to save any changes.
💡 Note: Once you update your story, it will overwrite any existing edits to the written story.
Can the written story be a transcript of the recording?
If you prefer to have the written story reflect the exact words that were recorded, Remento has that option. It's called "cleaned transcript" and it cleans up the original transcript by removing any "ums" or "ahs".
To update your written story to this mode, select the Make Changes button on your story page, select AI Writing Tool, and then select Cleaned Transcript. Remento will generate a new preview of your story. Select Update Story to save any changes.
If you would like to make this change to all of your stories moving forward, you can go to Project Settings, find the Transcription mode section, and select edit. From here, select "Cleaned transcript" and save your settings.
💡 Note: Once you update your story, it will overwrite any existing edits to the written story.
