Remento now offers the option to add photo digitization to your purchase. This service is offered through Legacybox, the company that's helped over one million families digitize their photos and home videos.
How it works
Purchase Legacybox during checkout: When buying Remento, you'll see a photo digitization option. Select how many photos you want digitized, choose a ship date, and provide a shipping address for the kit
Receive your kit: Legacybox ships your kit on your selected date, arriving within 7 business days. The kit contains everything needed: packing materials, instructions, the box, and a prepaid return label.
Mail in your photos: Pack your photos in the box and use the prepaid label to send them to Legacybox. Be sure you scan the QR code in your kit to register and activate your Legacybox before sending your photos.
Download your photos: In 2-4 weeks, Legacybox will notify you when your digitized photos are ready. Download them to your device or cloud storage, then upload them to your Remento account.
Receive your physical photos: Legacybox returns your original photos to your shipping address within 5 business days after digitization. During registration, you can also specify a different return address if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I ship my box?
Legacybox only accepts shipments from and delivers to addresses within the contiguous United States. This excludes Alaska, Hawaii, and international locations.
What size photos can I ship?
You can digitize 3x5 or 4x6 photos. Note that photos must be removed from sleeves, frames, albums, or other containers before shipping.
Can I ship an entire scrapbook?
No, Legacybox does not accept scrapbooks or photos in albums. You will need to remove individual photos from the scrapbook before sending them in for digitization.
How long does this process take?
The process of digitizing your photos requires multiple steps with a few different time frames:
Receiving Your Kit: 1-7 business days after shipping confirmation
Processing Time:
1-7 business days for your kit to reach Legacybox
2-4 weeks for digitization and notification
Return Delivery: 1-7 business days for your original photos to be shipped back
How do I save my digitized photos?
Once the photos are digitized, Legacybox will email a link with all the photos. Downloading and saving these to your device (phone, tablet or computer) or a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox will allow you to then use Remento's uploading tool to add the photos to your Remento book.
How do I add digitized photos to my Remento account?
Once you've received your digitized photos, you can upload the photos directly to your Remento account. Here are written instructions, and here is a video.
Can I ship the box to my Storyteller?
Yes, during checkout, you can choose where to ship the Legacybox, including directly to your Storyteller. Simply provide their name and mailing address.
Can I receive the original photos (after digitization) at a different address?
Yes, you can request a change in the return shipping address if your order is still at Legacybox’s facility and has not been shipped yet. Contact Legacybox’s Customer Support Team for assistance.
Do I have to upload all the photos I digitize to Remento?
No, you are not required to upload all digitized photos to Remento. You can choose which photos to use in your Remento projects or keep them for other purposes.
What happens if I don’t use all my photo digitization credits in my first box?
Unfortunately, any unused credits cannot be carried over. When you select the number of photos to send to Legacybox, that is a flat fee for your order and includes the roundtrip shipping of one set of photos.
Does Legacybox edit or retouch my photos?
Legacybox performs minimal dust removal but does not offer extensive photo editing, restoration, or color correction. You can edit your digitized files yourself using photo editing software after receiving them.
What if I’m not satisfied with my digitized photos?
If you are dissatisfied with the results, Legacybox offers a 30-day return policy for store credit. You may also contact their customer support team to report issues within this timeframe.
