Supported languages on Remento

Updated over a week ago

Remento's Speech-to-Story™ technology currently supports English and Spanish. This means our product can understand spoken English or Spanish and transform those recordings into written stories in the same language.

If you're interested in using Remento in a language other than English:

  • Let us know which language you'd like to see supported.

  • We'll notify you when new language options become available.

👉 While our Speech-to-Story technology can process Spanish recordings, the Remento platform interface (website, emails, prompts, and instructions) is currently only available in English.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I write my own translations into Remento?

Yes, if you would like to have your Storyteller record in a different language, you can choose to edit the written stories and provide your own text and translation. This will require you or someone to be very hands-on in the editing and writing process. In the printed book, when the QR code is scanned, it will still play your Storyteller's original recording in their native language.

Can Remento understand Spanish speakers?

Yes! Remento's Speech-to-Story technology can understand Spanish speakers, accurately transcribe their Spanish recordings, and transform them into beautifully written Spanish narratives. However, the platform interface (prompts, emails, website) will still be in English.

Can a Spanish speaker use Remento if they don't speak English? While our Speech-to-Story technology fully supports Spanish recordings and will create Spanish written stories, the platform interface is currently only in English. Spanish speakers may need assistance navigating the English interface, but once set up, they can record entirely in Spanish and receive Spanish written stories.

Can Remento translate recordings from other languages like Russian or Mandarin? No, currently our Speech-to-Story technology only supports English and Spanish. We cannot transcribe, translate, or create written stories from recordings in other languages at this time.

What if my parent speaks a language other than English or Spanish?

Unfortunately, our Speech-to-Story technology cannot currently process recordings in languages other than English and Spanish. However, you could manually edit the stories and provide your own translations, though this would require significant hands-on work. The original recording in their native language would still be preserved and accessible via QR codes in the printed book.
