How do I get set up as a host?

As a new purchaser, setting up your storyteller’s account and understanding the onboarding process is a breeze. It’s understandable to think that because you’ve purchased the gift, that everything is all set. But we only need about 2 more minutes of your time to make sure they’re gift is set up for delivery — this means ensuring they have a prompt (or 3) to respond to, we have their email address, you’ve created a gift message, and selected a delivery date. All of this is configured after you’ve purchased Remento and logged in.

If selecting prompts feels overwhelming, don’t stress too much about it. You and your storyteller can change all of these prompts, including deleting them entirely, after you’ve finished onboarding.

Here's a step-by-step guide to make sure your storyteller is set up for success.

  1. After purchase, let us know how you heard about us. Tap Continue

  2. Read through the onboarding screens, tapping Get started, then Next, then Add prompts

  3. Select how you’d like to add the very first prompts for your storyteller

  4. Starting with a photo: Select this if you have photos handy that you’d like your storyteller to see and about which you want to hear their story. We suggest starting with 1 to 3 photos to get you started. You can add plenty more later!

  5. Starting with prompts: Select this if you don’t have photos on hand and want to look through questions for inspiration. Tap Next when you’re ready to continue

  6. Review the prompts selected. On this page, you can reorder and edit the prompts. Tap Next when ready to continue

  7. Enter your storytellers details. Confirm their first and last name, add their email address, select the gift delivery date, and create a message. Tap Confirm when you’re ready to proceed.

💡 A few things to keep in mind:

    • You’ll need to reach out to support@remento.co to update your storytellers email address if you realize you made a mistake after tapping “Confirm”

    • You can edit your storytellers name at any time in their profile

    • You can change the gift delivery date up until it’s sent in Manage storyteller

  8. And that’s it! Your storyteller will be good to go.

From here, you can tap Explore Remento to continue adding prompts, edit those you already created, or reordering the prompts.
