A poll is a new feature inside Remento that allows family and friends to vote on what questions the Storyteller should answer next. Many people start their Remento book to share memories with those they love, and now you can get more people involved in making your book come to life.

You can start a new poll in Remento by selecting “Add Prompt”. You will now see that creating a poll is an option when loading your prompt queue within Remento.

As the Poll Creator, you will see two random prompts generated by Remento for a new poll. You can choose to shuffle these options or write your own.

Once you’ve selected your prompts, you can publish your poll and share it with others. You can invite people to vote via email or by copying a link to the poll and sharing it via text or other messaging apps.

Once you've created a poll, it's live for 24 hours!

If someone has invited you to vote on a poll, you simply open the link and select the question you most want to be asked. That's it!

If you are new to Remento and have not joined the project, you will have the opportunity to sign up and join the project so that you can watch and read the answer to the question once the Storyteller has recorded. When you sign up, we also let the Storyteller know who is voting -- it's another simple way to let someone know that you care about their story.

Polls are only open for 24 hours. After that, the winning prompt is sent to the Storyteller for them to record.

If no one votes in a poll, it will be deleted. If there’s a tie, both prompts are sent to the Storyteller and added to their prompt queue.

For anyone who voted and signed into Remento, they are now a Collaborator on the project. This means they will be notified when a story is recorded and will be invited to vote on all future polls.

Anyone in the Remento project can create a poll. It's a new way for the Host, Storyteller, or the Collaborators to generate new questions and get more family & friends involved in the creation of the Remento book.
