Quick overview: Your storytelling journey starts here

When you start a new project as a host, Remento guides you through a personalized onboarding experience designed to create the perfect storytelling environment for your loved one. Think of yourself as a memory curator - you're creating the conditions for beautiful stories to emerge naturally.

Here's what happens next:

  1. Set up their preferences - Name, contact details, and delivery schedule

  2. Personalize their experience - Tell us about them so we can craft perfect prompts

  3. Review custom prompts - See the questions we've selected specifically for them

  4. Manage ongoing prompts - Control their storytelling journey week by week

⚙️ Set up your storyteller's preferences

Their personal details

  • Full name: How they prefer to be addressed in prompts and written stories

  • Email address: Where they'll receive weekly storytelling invitations

  • Phone number (optional): Backup delivery via text message for important updates

💡 Pro tip: Use their preferred name style - if Grandma goes by "Betty" instead of "Elizabeth," use Betty. This makes every prompt feel personally crafted for them.

Choose their perfect schedule

How often should they receive new prompts? Remento sends prompts every Wednesday by default, but you can adjust this to match your storyteller's pace. Weekly works well for most people, giving them time to reflect without losing momentum.

What day and time works best for them?
Consider their routine - morning people might prefer Tuesday at 9 AM to think about their response during the week. Choose the day and time based on their timezone and when they're most reflective.

✨Personalize their storytelling experience

To create prompts that help your storyteller record meaningful and personal stories, we need to understand a little more about who they are and what makes them special. You'll find the "Personalized prompts" option in your Prompts tab if you skipped this during onboarding.

  1. Go to the Prompts tab in your dashboard

  2. Click on the 🪄 Personalize prompts" section

  3. Answer the guided questions about your storyteller

  4. Submit all answers when complete

  5. Review the 10 custom recommendations our system generates

  6. Select the prompts you'd like to add to your storyteller's queue

💡Remember: you can always add, edit, or remove prompts later

📝 Managing your prompts going forward

In your Prompts tab, you'll see:

Sent - Prompts that have already been delivered to your storyteller
To be sent - Your personalized prompts are waiting in the queue

You can always:

  • Add more prompts using the "Add prompts". Or click on "Personalized prompts" if you have not taken the questionnaire

  • Reorder the queue to prioritize certain stories

  • Edit prompts before they're sent

  • Generate new personalized prompts as you learn what resonates with your storyteller

  • Ask follow-up questions based on your storyteller's recordings
